halloween with old friends!

My cutest friend in the whole world Christina had a fun halloween party last saturday for our good friends. Me, Bry, Katie, Lou (Lindsay) and Chris, Julie Johnson palmer, (Euge) Kent Page, & Allen Greenwell all got together with our hubbies,wives, and kids and had a yummy soup bowl dinner. We carved pumpkins, decorated sugar cookies, and chatted about fun times. It was fun to have high school friends that I can still see. I'm glad we all have the gospel in our lives. Remember the albertson scripture from Bro. Grossen?? Anyone?!?! Yeah gotta love it.

Zoo Fun!

Bryan took the day off of work last friday and we went and played at the zoo with my parents!! It was super fun. Hunter loved looking and pointing at all the animals. It was a beautiful perfect day to go. Mayley loved going on the train ride. She said she loved the monkeys the best! We did too. It was UEA weekend so there was a ton of people there but it was fun to get out and do something fun. This large elephant likes to make funny noisees. Mayley was kinda scared of it.

Mayley's Favorite Book

I have tried to make a goal to read lots to mayley and hunter everyday. Last night we read books it seemed like forever and she just loves it! Little Pea is a book that is the cutest book in the world. It got award on amazon for the best book in 2005 or something. I love it. Every kid should have this book in his library. It about a little pea that has to eat candy everyday for dinner and he hates it. but if he eats all of his candy for dinner he can have his favorite dessert.....if you want to know what his favorite dessert is....well just ask me or go buy it because its the best!! Mayley can read the whole book to me by herself. This is one of those books that just brings a smile to my face!! It is wonderful!

Cheap Entertainment!!

Ok talk about some funniness in our family!! We got a new fun tv and entertainment center in the house and talk about fun entertainment with the boxes that they were in. The entertainment center is now the kids' new little house. Bryan made little doors for them to go in and out of. I told him the other night that we needed more windows in the house. We made a circle window, a rectangle window, and a square window. The kids kept putting their head through the circle window and that's where I got the idea to draw a body on the box. It was so funny. Bry did the good muscle man drawing. He does a lot better with his drawings than I do. So here are the fun pictures we took of each other. Mayley even had to get DORA baby in the picture. My mom gave her this doll for her birthday last year and she takes it with her everywhere. it has the ugliest hair but she loves this baby to death!! It's so hilarious!!

I didn't even have to stage the kids to pose like this. Mayley just wanted to give Hunter Loves!! Hunter is too focused watching his Baby Einstein movie. He loves those movies!! They are the best!

Make a Smilebox slideshow

I love this new smilebox and I wanted to put pictures of me and bry on here for you all to enjoy! Usually most of the pics are of the kids. I am so grateful for my hubby and how much I love him!! He is the best! It only let me put 20 pictures on so it just kinda ends when I'm pregnant. kinda random!! I love this new discovery I found today!

Middle Canyon

In between conference on sunday we took a drive up to a canyon by our house and it was beautiful. We found this little spot that was perfect to take pictures at!! The kids had so much fun playing in the leaves. Bry tweeked some pics to look pretty cool with photoshop. I love being in the mtns. Especially during fall. It was a perfect day to do it. Bry took most of the pictures. He does such an awesome job with taking good pictures. I'm grateful he has a talent to take fun pictures and he loves to do it.

BLT Pasta its whats for dinner

Last night I made this for dinner. It was super yummy! We loved it! I am always looking for something yummy and new to make for dinner. Bry loved it. But then again its not that hard to please him because he is the best hubby ever and eats anything I make him. Here is the recipe


3 cups (8 oz.) penne pasta, uncooked
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cut up
1 cup milk
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crisply cooked, drained and crumbled
2 cups baby spinach leaves
1 cup grape or cherry tomatoes
1 tsp. Italian seasoning

Make It
COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package.
MEANWHILE, cook cream cheese, milk and Parmesan cheese in large skillet on medium-high heat 3 min. or until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients; cook and stir 5 min. or until heated through.
DRAIN pasta; return to pan. Add sauce; toss to coat.

The way I made it was a little bit different. I cooked more bacon like 7-8 slices instead of just 4. I also did canned diced tomatoes instead of the grape or cherry tomatoes.

I also made some yummy Italian bread to go with it. I spread butter on the bread, with garlic salt, and italian seasoning and mozzarella cheese on top and broil it in the oven. We like to dip it in olive oil and basalmic vinegar.

Mac N' Cheese PLEASE

Mac N Cheese is Mayley's new favorite thing to eat for lunch! They were so cute the other day eating their lunch I just had to get them eating their favorite meal. We use little bowls from IKEA so they don't waste so much either.
Mayley also likes to have fun feeding Hunter Yogurt. Wow, they sure do love to make messes. She would get spoonfuls and put it on Hunter's tray and then the fun started with spreading it all over the tray. I think its funny to watch kids having fun even though they do make messes.

fruit flies galore

So if you any of you have had fruit flies in your house I have the solution for you! I have them it seems like a lot more in the fall time. last year they were all over in my house with all of the fruits and different things in my pantry. Anyway, I found an awesome way to get rid of them!! Apple Cider Vinegar and Dish soap mixed up!! That's it! The flies are attracted to it and they fall in and die!! it's awesome. I thought I would share with you something that works awesome.
