Last Friday Night....

So this is one of the craziest stories about living in Tooele! Last friday night we had some friends over because we were doing a musical number for the stake baptism the next morning and needed to practice it. The girls brought their families so all the kids could play together so we had a house full of kids too!! The girls that came over happen to be girls we went to High school with and it was a coincendece that we all ended up living out here in Tooele!(Mindy Neibergalgh and Heidi Bolander) Well it was really stormy and windy the whole day and a little after they showed up we felt a big "THUMP" hit the house. We wondered if something had fell over upstairs because of the wind. Bryan went to check but there was nothing wrong upstairs. It was funny because Mindy's little boy, Jackson, said something funny like "I think a trampoline hit your house". So about a half hour later there is a knock at the door. I open the door and a man asks us "Is that your trampoline in the middle of the road?" We go running out there and the wind had picked up a trampoline and it landed almost in our driveway but in the road. We ran downstairs and told our husbands what had happened. They went and cleaned it all up and went knocking door to door wondering whose trampoline it was. They came back about 45 minutes later and it was the neighbors 4 houses down. It really was a trampoline that hit our house. It bent our mailbox and snapped our swingset in half. The wind was so powerful that night. Me and Bry looked out the window for a good 30 minutes and watched things blow down the street. We were waiting to see if the stop sign would blow over. I saw a fisher price playhouse get carried away and break into pieces. We had a sleepover in the front room because our bedroom got the worst wind noise out of anywhere in the house. There was no way to sleep. The power went out at 12:15 that night and we woke up at 9:00 the next morning to a 60 degree house. Luckily we went to Heidi's house so the kids wouldn't freeze to death. Our neighborhood was a big mess. Tons of houses had their siding totally ripped off their houses. Tons of Shingles from roofs were scattered everywhere and lots of fences were completley blown over. It was the worst wind storm I have ever seen. Pretty crazy. We were lucky to have only a couple shingles gone from our roof. YIKES!! That was a night I will never forget.

Brito, that's so crazy!?! How many people can say that a trampoline has hit their house? Sad about your swingset, and that little kid's playhouse. Glad that nobody got hurt though!
